College Roommate Agreement
This is especially important when it comes to your roommate; You both have the right to live your own life, but you are not each other`s parents. Even if you were the „mom“ in your group of high school friends, it`s a very narrow line between playing and coming as if you were trying to control your roommate. (Of course, it`s a different story if you think there`s a real and serious problem that could hurt someone, in which case you should go to a ra and/or campus font. But I`m going astray.) The ability to solve problems plays an important role in a person`s career. People who know how to quickly find a reasonable solution to tribulation always get decent jobs. Unfortunately, we receive no recognition for solving routine daily problems. The problem I faced was more than just a routine dilemma. I`ve been through some tough times with my roommate. If you are moving in for the first time with your roommate (either in an apartment or in the residences), you may or may have to enter into a roommate contract or a roommate contract. Although generally not legally binding, roommate agreements are a great way to make sure that you and your college roommate are on the same page on the daily details of life with someone else. And although they seem to be suffering, roommate agreements are a smart idea. We have not forgotten ourselves well because there are differences of opinion in the fundamental dailies.
For example, she would stop her music without headphones when I was trying to study or invite guests without asking me if I had any objections. Another thing she did is take some of my books and magazines without permission. But the worst part is that she didn`t want to clean the room when I did. Then I thought, „Why wouldn`t it irritate me anymore? We should only sign some kind of legal document to settle the rules. And in the larger dorms, where, let`s say you have your own bathroom, there is the issue of common spaces, who wants to watch TV, though, who takes all the shelves in the fridge, who hogging the sink in the morning, etc. Some of these things you won`t discover until you`re well into the semester and everyone has nailed their own routine, but it`s always a good idea to have early conversations to kill potential problems in the bud. You don`t want to bottle your frustration all semester and explode when your roommate will use your shampoo next time without asking. In any case, you should talk about it with your roommate, even a little, so you both know when the other usually goes to bed when they tend to sleep when one of you comes home much later than the other, etc. And when it comes to going to bed, you should talk about whether, after a while, you need absolute silence and absolute darkness to sleep, or if you can sleep with the light on or music or television games (it`s true if one of you gets up well before the other).
